Eagle DetAct – Detect and Act Crowd Scanning

ICTS’s DetAct (Detect and Act) course is designed to train your employees how to identify and isolate potentially high-risk individuals in crowded areas.

Through observation and detection of suspicious signs in the behavior or appearance of such individuals, followed by the application of focused interview techniques, DetAct offers a unique, expert led, cost-effective solution to optimize staff competence in preventing terrorist and criminal activities in congested areas, such as airports, train stations, stadiums or other crowd gathering arenas, which increasingly represent attractive targets for terrorist attacks.

Used in conjunction with existing security systems of your organization, DetAct can easily enhance the security level at your premises. DetAct is particularly effective in teaching your employees how to prevent any potential attack whilst it is still in its preliminary stages, such as that of intelligence gathering.

It has been successfully deployed at numerous venues, including Beijing’s International Airport (prior to the 2008 Olympic Games), Hong Kong International Airport, Heathrow Express, and the Mumbai Police Department (after the Mumbai terrorist attack in 2008).

Training Approach – Based on “Security Layering” principle:

The methodology consists of five stages:

  3. Engagement with the subject
  4. Verify suspicions through a focused interview (based on profiling methodology)
  5. Decision making
