INTRODUCTION

The last decade saw a significant increase in the number of pirate attacks on merchant ships, especially around the Gulf of Aden and off the coast of Somalia.

In an effort to counter piracy ICTS Europe Systems in conjunction with the Liberian International Ship & Corporate Registry (LISCR) – the second largest maritime Registry in the world - is introducing Best Management Practices (BMP), an innovative course designed to avoid, deter or delay acts of Piracy.

Using state-of-the-art computer based tools, BMP offers a concise, multimedia-rich, interactive self-learning course.

Whether on land or out at sea, BMP can run on any PC providing an effective tool to increase the competence of your ship masters and their crew.
